A graduate of the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, she has a private general dentistry practice in Palm Desert, California, with an emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. She has been at the same location for 24 years, serving the valleys residents.
Known for her smiles dubbed “The Dell’Acqua Smile”, Dr. Dell’Acqua is a brilliant artist who uses her innate ability to create natural and believable smiles with porcelain crowns and veneers. Her technical skills are unsurpassed, with the combination of the two giving her the edge in this cosmetic dental industry. She is sought after by Fortune 500 CEO’s, Academy award winners, professional models, actors, celebrities and pro-athletes. Dr. Dell’Acqua spends a significant amount of time taking continuing education courses to stay abreast of all of the new procedures and technology that are available. She prides herself on choosing only what is best for her patients. “I will only implement procedures, techniques and materials that I would want in my mouth or my family’s mouths. I will not jump on a bandwagon because a company has great marketing and patients come through the door looking for that specific product.”, says Dell’Acqua.
A pioneer of Spa Dentistry, Dr. Dell’Acqua saw a need to transform dentistry and her dental office into a comforting warm environment in which her patients could relax and would actually enjoy their visits. Part of this experience is having a foot massage with aromatherapy during a procedure. This decreases blood pressure, decreases the amount of anesthetic needed and relaxes patients. For those who would like to sleep through their procedure, Dr. offers sedation dentistry.
Dr. is very involved locally with charitable organizations and has served on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations. She has a passion for helping people and it shows. She is the former Mrs USA. She used her title to help speak out on behalf of women and children who have suffered domestic violence and abuse.
She is also the mother of her 28 year old son, Courtland, who is a talented music producer in Los Angeles.
